Interactive Demo Reel

Edited in After Effects, 2023

Reel Breakdown:

In Order of Appearance:

Motion Capture

Alarming Fan Music Video (Capstone Project)- Made for UE5. Created a customized Metahuman with specialized hair (xGen), textures (substance painter), body morph (zbrush/maya), and clothes (marvelous designer) as the heroine of an animated music video. Set up real-time motion capture using Steam VR trackers and retargeted that animation to the body of the Metahuman, while facial motion capture was recorded with Livelink and Character Creator 8. Fixes were made in the Sequencer including additive control rigs solving on top of motion capture. Scenes were assembled and rendered in Unreal with props from CG trader and the megascans library.

VR Development in Unity

Will O’ the Wisps- VR game made in Unity in which the player is tasked to find “wisps” hidden around the forest, heal “infected” trees, and avoid dangerous bears. Programming (c#), Set Up, and Level Design were done by me. Art Assets are from the Unity store.

RECollections- A MIT Reality Hack Project made for the Quest 2 utilizing AR Passthrough. User records audio to 3D memory vessels and places them within the environment. Vessels degrade over time but can be renewed by continuous interaction. The art assets materials and animation are mine.

Anatomy VR Study Tool- Demo made to guide students through reviewing textbook material in VR. Made using the VR visual script editor in Unity. Art assets from

VR Art

Tree of Souls- Referencing the movie Avatar. Made in Tilt Brush

Scene from an Anansi Tale- VR illustration of a scene from the Ghanaian folktale  in which Anansi, the trickster spider hides as he lures Osebo, the leopard, into a trap in the forest. Made in Quill

River Scene- Made in Openbrush

AR Development in Unity

3D UI Implementation- The end product of a video tutorial series on AR in Unity recorded and edited by me. The camera scans the 3D planes in the environment to place an object and the user can tap the cubes to change the hair color of the model. Programming and Model are mine.

Image Recognition and Occlusion- From the same video series. The phone scans the image to generate a 3D model in a box that uses a material to occlude and obscure the scene.

Lethal Position- AR Game made for the Global Game Jam 2021. Traverse the room in AR to discover the toxic secrets left behind.

Social Media

Purple Party- AR Filter using Spark Studio for Instagram/Facebook

Generate Filter- Made using Spark Studio for club promotion

Generate Stickers- Animated in After Effects and uploaded to Giphy for use on social media

RECollections

MIT Reality Hack- Semi Finalist, 2023

Trailer

RECollections allows you to record audio and replay memories of those who came before you. By using Oculus Quest with passthrough, memories integrate into a real space becoming a temporal-spatial archive of the community.

What I contributed:

I worked on creating the 3D assets, which were modeled and animated in Maya, as well as adding some particle effects in Unity. I also contributed to the project ideation and edited the trailer video.

AR Tutorial Series

Teaching how to develop using AR Foundation and Unity, 2021

I created and uploaded a tutorial series exploring setup, development, and unique features unique to AR development using Unity. The model I use was originally created in Zbrush, then UV mapped and textured in Maya before being brought into Unity.
